About Me

In addition to my private practice, I have worked as a counsellor with individuals in low cost counselling services in Oxford and with the NHS as a group psychotherapist. As well, I managed and facilitated a therapeutic residential treatment centre for men and woman suffering from alcohol and substance misuse addiction.

Because I respect and accept that each person has their own unique individuality, I do not believe that one approach works for all. My primary approach is Humanistic (Relational Transactional Analysis) drawing on other models such as Psychodynamic, CBT and Mindfulness.

I offer both short-term counselling, and longer term psychotherapy, my experience is that both ways of working have great value.
Central to my work is a belief that by working in relationship we can explore whatever issues you bring to each session.

I have clinical supervision twice a month and attend continued professional development work shops and talks through out the year.

I hold the following memberships, accreditations and qualifications.

  • Transactional Analysis Practitioner(Psychotherapy}

  • CBT Practitioner

  • Certificate in Counselling skills Theory

  • MBACP (Accred)

  • Member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis (UKATA).

  • I work in accordance with the following codes of ethics and professional practice.

    •The BACP ethical framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

    •The code of ethics and professional practice of the UKTA which is a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
